Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

This policy explains how Advent Biz Solutions handles your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We only collect what we need to quote, deliver and support your purchase.

1. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact details: name, company, email, phone, delivery address.
  • Order information: products purchased, quantities, delivery preferences, order notes.
  • Payment information: payment method and transaction reference. We never store full card numbers.
  • Technical information: device type, browser, pages viewed and approximate location, used to improve the site.
  • Communications: messages sent through our forms, email or WhatsApp.

2. How we use your information

  • To process, pack, deliver and support your order.
  • To issue tax invoices and comply with tax and consumer law.
  • To answer questions, honour warranties and arrange returns.
  • To send order updates and, with your consent, occasional product news you can unsubscribe from at any time.
  • To detect fraud and protect our customers and our business.

3. Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary with our payment processor, courier and freight partners, and the tax authority where required by law. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Where a supplier ships directly to you, we share the delivery details needed to fulfil your order.

4. How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for five years as required by the Income Tax Act. Marketing consent records are kept until you withdraw consent. Website analytics are retained for 14 months. We then securely delete or de-identify the information.

5. Your POPIA rights

Email sales@adventbiz-solutions.co.za and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity first.

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate information.
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent for marketing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

6. Security

Our site uses HTTPS encryption, access-controlled servers, hashed credentials and least-privilege access for staff. Payment card data is handled solely by our payment partner, PayFast. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Regulator as required by POPIA.
